Zhongkai ZHANG

Born in Dalian, Liaoning Province, the fifteen years old Zhongkai Zhang is currently an eighth grader piano-major student in the Middle School Affiliated to the Central Conservatory of Music, studying under the tutelage of the famous Chinese piano educator, Professor Jin Zhang. 
Zhongkai was admitted as a fourth grader piano major to the Central Conservatory of Music in 2019 and has been a student there since then.

Zhongkai enjoys himself as a performer and has showcased national-wide.  Some of his recent performances include:
– In 2023, he appeared as a concerto soloist in the Two-Coast Fuzhou Young Artist Music Festival. 
– In the same year, he performed in recital “Night of Cadenza” in Harbin as a studio member of Professor Jin Zhang’s.
– In 2020, he has performed in the “Melodies of Autumn” recital series in CCTV. He was one of the soloist performers in the recital marathon in memorial of Beethoven.

Zhongkai has won competitions both nationally and internationally. Some of his competition achievements include:
– In August 2023, Zhongkai won the Special Prize Outstanding in the 10th National Youth Chinese Works Performance Competition. 
– In the same month that year, he also won the First Prize with Outstanzing in the Professional Youth Group of the sixth “Sterinborgh Cup ” National Youth Piano Competition.
– In August 2023, he won the second place in the Professional Group of the Ningxia “Shapotou Golden Frog” International Art Festival. 

Zhongkai was also :
– The First Prize winner of the Piano Professional Children’s Group of the Fourth Singapore International Music Festival-Western Music Competition China,
– The Second Prize winner in the Professional Group of the 2021 Pearl River Kayserburg International Youth Piano Competition, the
-Third place winner of Group B in the China Division of the 11th Tchaikovsky International Youth Music Competition,
– The Third Prize winner of the Professional Children’s Group of the National Finals of the 19th Xinghai Cup National Piano Competition.

He is the First Prize winner of the 2021 Russian Moscow Music Online Competition in the 10-13- year-old category,

the First Prize winner of the Young Artist Category of the German Final in the 2021 Hanover Olympia International Music Competition.
