Felix WU

Felix Amadeus Wu, born in 2006 in Munich, began playing the piano at the age of six and received his first lessons from Romald Fischer at the municipal music school in Bogenhausen. He continued his training in 2020 at the Pre-College of the Mozarteum University Salzburg with Professor Andreas Weber. Since 2024, Felix Wu has been studying at the Hanns Eisler School of Music in Berlin under the guidance of internationally renowned pianist Kirill Gerstein. Among his other teachers and musical mentors are Antti Siirala and Milana Chernyavska, whose intensive artistic collaboration has had a lasting influence on his pianistic development.
Felix Wu has also taken part in numerous masterclasses with renowned pianists, including Pavel Gililov, Michael Bulychev-Okser, and Jacques Rouvier. Participating in these courses provided him with valuable opportunities to deeply engage with different interpretative approaches and technical challenges, as well as to receive new artistic impulses.
Felix Wu has also gained extensive experience on stage. His concert appearances include performances in the Hercules Hall of the Munich Residenz as well as in the Robert Schumann Hall in Düsseldorf. In Düsseldorf, he performed together with the Cologne Chamber Orchestra under the direction of Christoph Poppen, presenting himself as a soloist with orchestra.
His artistic achievements have been recognized through numerous competition successes. Felix Wu won first prize at the international piano competition “Matsjablum Memorial,” where he was also awarded the special Scarlatti Prize. At the international piano competition in Kronberg, he received third prize. Additionally, he has won several first prizes at both state and national levels of the “Jugend musiziert” competition. In 2023, he was awarded the Henle Prize for young pianists.
