Chanyeon Jung began his piano studies at the age of seven, demonstrating exceptional talent from an early age. He pursued his musical education at Sunhwa Arts Middle School and Sunhwa Arts High School, two of South Korea’s most prestigious institutions for young musicians. Following his graduation, he was admitted to Seoul National University, where he further refined his artistry under the guidance of Aviram Reichert.
During his undergraduate studies, Chanyeon established himself as a prominent young artist, performing in numerous recitals, including those hosted by the Kumho Asiana Cultural Foundation—one of South Korea’s most esteemed platforms for emerging musicians. His outstanding achievements include winning 1st Prize at the JoongAng Music Competition in 2022, widely regarded as Korea’s most prestigious music competition, as well as 1st Prize at the Korea Liszt Competition in the same year.
Chanyeon’s international experience includes participation in the Tel-Hai International Piano Master Classes in Israel in both 2022 and 2023, where he had the opportunity to work with world-renowned pianists and further develop his interpretative skills.
Having completed his studies at Seoul National University, Chanyeon is currently pursuing a master’s degree at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater München, studying with Antti Siirala. He continues to expand his repertoire and establish his presence in the international music scene.
