Born in 2004, VERA CECINO plays the piano since the age of 6. She began her studies with Maddalena De Facci and at 17 she graduated Summa cum Laude at Cesena Conservatory.
In 2022 she achieved the Specialization Diploma in the class of Prof. Andrzej Jasinski at Accademia del Ridotto. Recently she completed the Master’s Degree with honors at the Padua Conservatory with Prof. Alessandro Taverna and she is now starting the University of Music and Performing Arts of Graz in the class of Prof. Milana Chernyavska.
Vera is a scholarship holder of the Liechtenstein Musikakademie where she attends the Intensive Weeks with Prof. Pavel Gililov and Prof. Milana Chernyavska. In 2023 and 2024 she was selected to attend the Eppan Piano Academy with Andrea Bonatta, Janina Fialkowska, Michael Béroff, Arie Vardi and Akiko Ebi.
Vera is now studying at Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia in Rome where she attends the chamber music course with strings with Prof. Ivan Rabaglia.
Since 2018 she has given solo recitals in Spain, Poland, Switzerland and Italy, in venues such as the Teatro di Marcello in Rome, Triennale in Milano, Fryderyk Chopin Birthhouse in Żelazowa Wola, Teatro Verdi in Trieste, Sala Sosat in Trento, Casa Mahler in Sobrio, Auditorium Pollini in Padua, Auditorium Olivieri in Novara, Palazzo dei Rettori in Belluno, Sala dei Giganti in Padova, Sala Eutherpe in León, Monferrato Classic Festival, Palazzo Cavagnis in Venice.
At the age of 13 she made her debut with the orchestra, an experience she repeated on several occasions collaborating with Orchestra Concentus Musicus Patavinus, Orchestra Ferruccio Busoni di Empoli, Orchestra “I Concerti nel Tempio”, Orchestra del Concorso Pianistico Internazionale “Roma”, Orchestra Ars Nova, Orchestra del Conservatorio C. Pollini di Padova.
Vera is winner of the Second Chopin Prize at the 32nd Rome International Piano Competition in 2023 and the First Prize winner of Cosima Wagner Competition in Bellagio in 2024. In 2022 she won the 8th “Premio Giuseppe Martucci” International Competition in Novara, the First Prize at the “Val Tidone” in Piacenza, at the “Colafemmina” in Acquaviva delle Fonti and the Pecar Prize at the “Ars Nova” in Trieste as the best pianist among all categories of the competition. In 2019 she won the 10th “Premio Crescendo” International Competition in Firenze. She is prizewinner of the “Caesar Franck” in Brussels and the “Isidor Bajic” in Novi Sad. She was Finalist at the 19th Ettlingen International Piano Competiton and Semifinalist at the 5th Franz Liszt Competition for Young Pianists in Weimar.
